Boy, do I have a way with words! That title tho!!! The way it rhymes tho!!! Okay…I’m done! 🙂
So what’s this all about? Well, ya girl is almost a doctor ⇒ THAT’S WHAT!!! 😀 I’ve passed my comps, maintained a 3.787 GPA and managed to look cute doing it all without breaking a sweat! 🙂 Currently, I’m working on my dissertation and nearing the end of my program, and believe me when I say I couldn’t be happier, I mean it! This culmination means no more exams, papers to write, and professors to brown nose every once in awhile! 😉 But wait….is it REALLY over???
As I mentioned in my Economic Development Predicament post, everyone becomes quite inquisitive once you disclose the fact that you’re pursuing your doctorate in the field that suits your fancy. Flattering it is, but it also comes with some responsibility. Looking aloof & failing to answer questions are no longer options unfortunately. Instead, since those asking us the questions hold us to a higher academic standard, raising that bar while responding to their calls are now a priority.
That’s why in the wake of everyone clamoring after our votes, I’ve decided to not only share my thoughts on all things political, but also lend my expertise on all economic matters – both macro and micro! This will keep me on my toesies and enable me to sharpen my skillZZZ! 😉 Oh yeah, study tips, visuals, and academic advice will be given as well, so stay tuned! 🙂
Despite this post being curtailed a bit, especially in comparison to its more verbose counterparts, I’d still like to take the time – before signing off – to iterate how wonderfully excited and thankful I honestly am! <3 Who knew belly dancing would lead to Shimmy Sistah → Shimmy Sistah would lead to interests from reality shows on ABC Family → Reality show interests would lead to Hips of Hope → and Hips of Hope would lead to The Chocolate Doctorate. What’s next? Like seriously, where else will this creativity take us? Who knows really, but we shall experience it in stride nonetheless!
That being said, go get your zills, volunteer hats, and supply curves & let’s Remember to Live Life, Beautifully <3
